Classes begin the first week of April and October every year. April classes are
held once per week on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-10:15pm for 24 weeks.
October classes are held once per week on Tuesday evenings from 6:15-10:15pm
for 24 weeks. The Anatomy & Physiology (A&P) portion of our program is all self-study. Students are credited 21 hours each
week for the study of their A&P, completion of a mentorship and their required table and chair massages, which
are all done outside of class time. The sum of these meets (and exceeds) the
Colorado State requirements for state registration. With the limited in-class
time, students are strongly encouraged to miss little class time, as all of the
hands-on work is done in those limited hours.

Financial Aid
The “Save Up to Step Out” Program through the Pikes Peak Community Action Agency offers Individual
Development Accounts (IDA) which use Assets for Independence (AFI) Federal Act
funding. The program includes matching funds. With that, you must save for a
six month period and the monies can then put toward your school tuition. Small
grants toward a portion of your tuition may be received as well, through
another PPCAA program. For more information on both of these programs, contact
the Pikes Peak Community Action Agency, (719) 385-7910.
We keep our classes small enough, and tuition low enough, that our school does
not qualify students to use most forms of financial aid.

Covered within the 600 hours:
Swedish Massage - The basic strokes used in most types of massage.
Introduction to Sports Massage - Focused on enhancing athletic performance, and preventing and rehabilitating
athletic injuries.
Hydrotherapy - Treatment in which water is used externally.
Licensing/Registration - Many states issue a state license; however, since 2009 Colorado requires state
registration. Most certified programs require 500 to 1,000 hours of classroom
instruction and a passing grade on a selected standardized test. Information on
the steps necessary for registering with the state, as well as testing will be
given.
Business - Teaching you the skills you need to become a great Massage Therapist is our
goal, but since most RMT's are in business for themselves, being a savvy
business person is also important. We want our graduates to have long and
successful careers. Your instructors have almost a century of collective
experience in owning their own businesses. We want you to draw on that
knowledge.
Infant and Prenatal Massage - Women experience easier pregnancies and deliveries through the use of massage.
Babies are always healthier and happy with regular massages.
National Exam Preparation - Information on the steps necessary for registering with the state, as well as
some assistance from a National Certification Board representative, will be
offered to assist our students with a small amount of test preparation work.
